The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), in partnership with D&TA, releases new guidance for directors on implementing AI governance
AI applications present enterprises with both exciting opportunities and significant risks—touching boards’ fiduciary and oversight responsibilities. In our second collaboration, NACD and D&TA have published Director Essentials: Implementing AI Governance, a practical resource to help directors move from principles to deployment-focused oversight. This new work builds on the original NACD × D&TA Director Essentials report from 2023, extending the guidance with scenarios boards are facing now—from pilots-to-production to third-party AI procurement—and offering board-ready signals (green/red flags) and KPIs to focus time where it matters.
